Boomstone is an addictive gem-matching puzzle with a unique roguelike twist. Your main objective is to form and blast gem veins to make your score explode, digging through the depths of a mine to clear every layer and win the run.
How to Play Boomstone
Each mine wall presents eight glowing gems, each defined by a color and a purity number. Your goal is to line up matching colors to create a vein and trigger a blast. The higher the purity of the vein you form, the bigger the explosion and the higher your score will climb. Clear all eight progressively richer layers to complete your run. This game features instant play in a web browser, with a simple control scheme that works seamlessly with either a mouse on desktop or your fingers on a mobile device.
Main Gameplay
As you descend through the mine, your strategic choice of which veins to blast dictates your success. Every layer ends with a boss anomaly that introduces a fresh challenge to overcome. Tough rock might seal off a color you need, or gas could eat one of your available blasts. You must read the preview and adapt your strategy to break through each unique obstacle and push your score from dozens to tens of thousands.
Tips for Players
Focus on forming veins with the highest possible purity to maximize your score multiplier. After clearing a layer, visit the supply station to grab mining gear. These upgrades are run-defining, allowing you to add bonus points to specific colors, double the impact of same-color blasts, or supercharge your final shot. Since the available gear is reshuffled every run, be prepared to adapt your strategy to the new tools you are given.
