Cocoon Crossing 3D is a charming 3D routing puzzle that sends a group of caterpillars winding through a sunlit garden. The main goal is simple yet engaging: guide every single worm across the board to reach its matching coloured cocoon, where it can finally transform into a butterfly.
How to Play Cocoon Crossing
To navigate this puzzle world, you must drag a caterpillar's head or tail to direct its movement. As you drag, the worm crawls slowly, tile by tile, following your path. Careful routing is essential, as the garden contains a variety of obstacles like rocks, thick mud, thorns, and slippery ice. You must also keep an eye out for special one-way gates that only allow movement in a single direction, forcing you to plan your route far in advance to successfully bring every worm home to its cocoon.
Main Gameplay
The central challenge revolves around the concept of over-and-under. While two caterpillars cannot occupy the same tile on the same level, they can safely cross paths. At a crossing, one worm may climb over a raised bridge while another slips underneath through a tunnel. This mechanic adds a satisfying layer of complexity to every handcrafted puzzle board, requiring you to untangle intersecting paths while avoiding the diverse environmental hazards scattered throughout the level.

Always plan your movements with the final destination in mind, since re-routing a caterpillar is often necessary.
