Klondike is a popular solitaire card game that challenges players to organize a shuffled deck. The primary goal is to move all 52 cards onto four foundation piles, sorting them by suit and arranging them in ascending order from Ace to King.
How to Play Klondike
The game begins with a tableau of seven columns. The first column holds one card, the second two, and so on, with only the top card of each column revealed. You can transfer cards between columns by stacking them in descending rank and alternating colors. The foundation piles are built up separately, starting each suit with an Ace.
Main Gameplay
When no moves are available within the tableau, you can draw from the stockpile to introduce new cards. The core challenge lies in strategic planning, as you must carefully uncover hidden cards and sequence them correctly to clear the tableau and complete all foundations.
Tips for Players
Focus on uncovering the longest columns first to access more cards. Always prioritize moving Aces and low cards to the foundations when possible. Since moves are limited, think several steps ahead to avoid blocking important sequences.
