Nine Mens Morris
Nine Mens Morris is an enduring strategy board game where two opponents compete to outmaneuver each other. Played on a grid of 24 connected points, the core objective is to form three of your pieces in a line, known as a "mill," to capture an opponent's piece.
How to Play Nine Mens Morris
Main Gameplay
Each player commands nine pieces. The game unfolds in two distinct phases. First, players take turns placing all their pieces onto any vacant point on the board. Once all pieces are placed, the movement phase begins, where players shift a piece along a line to an adjacent empty point. Successfully aligning three pieces in a row allows you to remove one of your opponent's pieces from the board.
Tips for Players
Victory requires reducing your opponent to just two pieces or blocking all their possible moves. Focus on building multiple mills simultaneously while preventing your opponent from completing theirs. Strategic positioning during both the placement and movement phases is crucial for controlling the board and securing a win.
