Transition
Transition is a touching indie puzzle-platformer where you help a small, color-changing creature discover its true purpose. This heartfelt journey, originally created at Bratislava Game Jam 2016, beautifully explores themes of change and self-discovery through simple yet engaging gameplay.
How to Play Transition
Your primary task is to guide the melancholic creature across a series of platforms. The core challenge involves matching the creature's current color to the platform it lands on, all while racing against a countdown timer. You must actively avoid any black platforms, as contact with them results in immediate failure. The ultimate goal is to reach the final platform that matches the creature's hue to complete its transformation.
Main Gameplay
The game features a straightforward but demanding mechanic: platform navigation tied to color matching. As the creature's color shifts, you must quickly identify and land on corresponding safe platforms. The time limit adds urgency, creating a tense race against the clock. The visual style is defined by this color-based puzzle element, where the environment itself presents the primary obstacle and path forward.
Tips for Players
Success depends on quick reflexes and careful observation. Always prioritize moving toward platforms that match your creature's current color. Be especially vigilant about avoiding the dangerous black platforms at all costs. Since time is limited, plan your jumps efficiently and don't hesitate when a safe platform is within reach. The key is maintaining momentum while staying focused on the color-matching objective.
